Since I left London at the beginning of August, I have been almost incipiently bent by wind and rain of no gentle kind. Arisaig on the western coast of Scotland when I was fortunate enough to meet with Mr. Bowman & his family & Washington, between Newcastle & Dunham, were my two halting places.
